What makes a live set live?

“LIVE” plays with that question, bringing together Pittsburgh artists who compose, improvise, and reimagine music in real time.

From experimental and downtempo performances to live coding and creative manipulation of existing tracks, our first event explores different approaches to electronic music and the many ways it can take shape in front of an audience.

Some things are planned, some things happen in the moment, and that’s part of the fun.

A little experimentation, a little improvisation, and plenty of room to groove.

Lineup:

• frogonbough - Experimental electronic through Tidal Cycles
• Rosy - Downtempo and Breakbeats through Ableton
• FatMathB1tch - Soundscapes and Experimental Techno through Strudel
• Dr. Cat - French House + European Techno with Haskell (Hybrid Set)
