What is a grindhouse?
A grindhouse theater takes its name from showing continuous films with low admission fees, grinding through reels of low budget, sleazy, and taboo B-movies.
Peaking in the 70s, grindhouses have evaded censorship, and screened exploitation films “too outrageous” for a studio theater, using shocking subjects like sex, drug use, crime, along with gore and splatter horror.

This is for all queers, from the goth girlies to the crow’s feet daddies. It’s only a murder when we all get together (slay). And while not a strictly costume party, we applaud your untamed drag and scarecrow realness.

What makes a live set live?
“LIVE” plays with that question, bringing together Pittsburgh artists who compose, improvise, and reimagine music in real time.
From experimental and downtempo performances to live coding and creative manipulation of existing tracks, our first event explores different approaches to electronic music and the many ways it can take shape in front of an audience.
Some things are planned, some things happen in the moment, and that’s part of the fun.
A little experimentation, a little improvisation, and plenty of room to groove.

On October 30, All Hallow's Eve, we summon the dark and twisty baddies, the cuntiest club kids, the fab freaks, the spookiest sex sirens, and the weirdos, mister, to celebrate 9 years of The MoB. For 6 hours on one very wild, dark, haunting, and memorable as fuck night we open a portal to usher in our 10th year of operation as only we can. Starting at 10pm and well into demon time, we rage with some unrepentant killers:

Our gathering place, Collapse, is a DIY warehouse in Pittsburgh's East End. BYOB 21+. Water will be free and available all night, but plan for an early arrival to take advantage of a limited stock of cups, ice, and mixers. FYI while the venue is ground level, the bathrooms are not ADA accessible. The exact address and all further instructions will be mailed to all ticket holders at 3:00 PM Oct 30.

Mostbeautifullest (aka The MoB) is a Black queer party collective based in Pittsburgh, PA. Dubbed “the collective altering Pittsburgh’s nightlife scene for the better”, The MoB produces events from the perspective of advocation for and the centering of the QTBIPOC community. Purelink is an ambient music trio from Chicago, United States. The group, comprised of Ben Paulson, Tommy Paslaski, and Akeem Asani, formed in 2020 and has been described as an "ambient boyband."
With local support from Davis Galvin (live set), Gusto (live set), and No Hitter (Anthony Ambroso, David Bernabo, Brian Riordan, Eli Weidman).

Fraxiom

Chicago-based hyperpop, hip-hop, and electronic artist Fraxiom will be performing as part of her The Adventures in Question tour, fresh off the release of her debut album The Adventures of Jester Jackalope. Fraxiom is also known for her collaborative work, including as half of the duo Food House. Fraxiom's new album showcases, as Ringtone Magazine put it, "a wicked mix of high energy hip-hop and dance music put through a hyperpop blender."
Supporting will be Columbus-based Detatchi, self-described as a producer and vocalist making hyperpop, emo, and digicore music for trans girls and furries.
Visuals for the show will be provided by Pittsburgh's glitch art sweetheart, the one and only Nasty Taxi.
Doors at 7:30, music starts at 8:00
Note: Unlike most events at Collapse, this one is all-ages, and BYOB will not be permitted. The venue is not a bar and does not serve alcohol.
